Federick George Topham - The neighbourhood kid with a knack for saving lives.

Frederick "Toppy" Topham grew up on Beresford Avenue and attended King George Elementary and Runnymede Collegiate.  

During WWII, he was awarded the Victoria Cross - the highest Military Award available.
